Flagship PR Limited (Flagship PR) is a public relations (PR) and communications agency registered in England and Wales. We are the controller of personal data we process in the course of our business activities.
Information we collect
This section details the information we may collect and applies to personal data we collect and process in connection with: prospective, current and former clients; journalists, media contacts and influencers; suppliers and sub-contractors; job applicants and employees; and visitors to our website.
The categories of personal data we collect depend on your relationship with us, and may include: identity data, such as name, job title and employer; contact data, e.g. email address, telephone number and postal address; and data relating to journalists’ publications, areas of coverage and pitching correspondence.
We maintain professional contact information relating to journalists, editors and media professionals in order to communicate relevant news, commentary and opportunities relating to their areas of coverage, based on our legitimate interest in facilitating media relations.
For clients, suppliers and employees, we may also collect billing information and bank details for the purpose of processing payments. We may also hold employment data, such as CVs, as well as limited website information from web visitors, including browser type, pages visited and web traffic sources (location).
How we use personal data
We primarily use personal data for the purposes of the performance of a contract or legitimate business interests.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and any personal information is only shared where necessary with Flagship PR’s professional network (e.g. trusted PR partners or freelancers), professional advisors such as legal or accounting partners, or, if required by law, regulators and public authorities.
Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), as appropriate.
How long we keep data
How long we keep personal data depends on the purpose for which it is collected and processed, and is reviewed periodically.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate or incomplete data; erase data where we have no lawful basis to retain it; and withdraw consent at any time, among other rights in line with UK GDPR frameworks.
